PEOPLE are invited to attend a night at the races to raise money for charity.
Darlington Business Club has organised the event at Central Hall, Darlington, on Tuesday, December 3, to raise funds for St Teresa's Hospice.
The fun starts at 7.30pm and there will be eight races on the card, with a minimum bet of £1 and spot prizes.
Ladbrokes, in Houndgate, Darlington has donated a £100 White Christmas bet to be raffled at the event. If it snows on the London Weather Centre on Christmas Day, the winner will receive £500.
Mark Gardner, chairman of Darlington Business Club, said: "We hope that many people will come along and support us. You don't have to be a racing expert to have great fun. The evening is professionally run."
Tickets, costing £3 for members of Darlington Business Club and £5 for non-members, are available from Craig Linton at the hospice, telephone (01325) 254319.
