SHOPPERS in Newton Aycliffe and Spennymoor town centres are in for a festive treat because there will be free entertainment provided throughout December.
Leading the way is a free family show by Silly Billy Productions.
The company will perform four hours of entertainment at Spennymoor and Newton Aycliffe leisure centres.
The action-packed show will see Silly Billy appearing alongside Candyfloss, Captain Mayhem, Tip to Toe, Curly Clowns, Mr Policeman and The Furry Friends.
The show at Spennymoor Leisure Centre is on Saturday, December 7, from 1pm to 5pm. Tickets are available from the leisure centre reception, the Community Learning Centre and the library.
For tickets to see the show at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre on the following Saturday, at the same time, contact the centre reception, the Learning Shop or the library.
For the rest of the month, brass bands and school choirs will be in the town to get everyone in the Christmas mood, while the leisure centres will hold arts and crafts sessions.
Leaflets containing full details of the events taking place in each town are available in shops or from town centre manager Wendy Benson on (01325) 307270.
