HIGH achievers at Branksome Comprehensive School, in Darlington, have had their efforts recognised at an awards ceremony.
All the subject prizes in the presentation were sponsored by local firms, including Cleveland Bridge UK, Sherwoods Vauxhall, Sanderson Property and The Northern Echo. There were also individual cups and trophies presented by the school to pupils at Wednesday's event.
Pupils with a year's full attendance, achievers in physical education and Duke of Edinburgh award winners were also recognised.
Special guest was Pam Eccles, executive director of the Learning Skills Council Tees Valley.
Nicola McCarthy performed a solo song from Beauty and the Beast and Mack the Knife was sung by a group of pupils during the evening.
