Newly-promoted Lune Street B recorded yet another win, this week against opponents Guisborough Cons. A.
Paul Smith set the ball rolling when winning both his games against Arthur Smith 66-34 and 61-35. Mike King then levelled the match at two frames each after beating Chris Smith 52-36 and 54-35. Gary Moon sealed the win after beating Colin Buckton in both his games 49-29 and 63-19. Lune Street were worthy 4-2 winners.
Grinkle Park also recorded a 4-2 home win against the Redcar Lakes A team as did Carlin How's A when playing Redcar Cons. A.
Redcar Workies A extended their lead at the top to five points after beating New Marske Institute 5-1. During this match Richard Beckham compiled breaks of 33, 35 and 82 while his teammate, Neil Cummins, compiled an outstanding 41 break.
The Redcar Lakes B team got their season back on track after recording a 5-1 home win against the Redcar Unionist's A team, while Saltburn Cons. A chalked up a brilliant 5-1 away win against Redcar Cons. B.
Guisborough TA were held to a 3-3 draw by visitors Marske Wokies A.
Redcar Workies B team chalked up their first win of the season when playing away to Guisborough Cons B. Neil Grainger, of Guisborough, lost both of his games to Moore 50-30 and 40-33. Scott Chatterton then extended the away team's advantage to 4-0 after beating Mick Chivers 56-38 and 79-20. Mark Stewart salvaged two points for Guisborough when beating Jock Dixon 54-28 and 36-15. The final result was 4-2 in favour of the Redcar Workies B.
Guisborough Quoit now lead the second division with 27 points after whitewashing Carlin How 6-0.
Val's Priory kept their title hopes on track after chalking up a brilliant 5-1 away win against Saltburn Cons. B, while Ennis Square B recorded the same result when playing Redcar Unionist's B. Ennis Square A notched a solid 5-1 home win against Lune Street A, while Marske Workies B were held to a 3-3 home tie by Redcar Literary Institute.
