Thirteen members of Billingham Swimming Club competed in the British Modern Biathlon Championships at Sheffield at the weekend, the swims ranging from 50m to 200m and the runs 1,000m to 2,000m.
All competitors performed brilliantly in both the running and swimming. The running conditions were atrocious and pushed the competitors to the limit running in a waterlogged mud bath all managing to complete the course with respectable times.
The swimming took place at Ponds Forge International Pool.
