Under-12s
Blyth Town 3 v 1 Lumley Ladies
Blyth started well but were held back by a resilient Lumley side. Chloe Tomlinson broke the deadlock but Lumley came back and equalised through L. Spencer. Blyth scored twice more through Chloe Tomlinson and Danielle Cooper. Players of the match were Rachel Wilson and L. Spencer.
SAFC 24/7 Girls 30 v 0 Birtley Town
Sunderland dominated throughout. Good passing and finishing proved too much for Birtley, although they battled to the end. Scorers were Rachel Laws (3), Lyndsey Bell (2), Lauren Ramshaw (3), Abby Holmes (3), Holly Taylor (4), Donna Bolton (4), Jessica Clarke (5), Jade Clarke (5) and Samantha Sweeney (1). Players of the match were Holly Taylor and Samantha Burkett.
Cramlington 1 v 3 Boldon
Cramlington took an early lead after five minutes through Alisha Cowie. Boldon equalies in the second quarter and then converted a penalty to take the lead. An end to end game followed in very difficult conditions which resulted in Boldon scoring again to end the match 3-1. Excellent performances from players of the match, Stacey Bonney and Danielle Hooker. Scorers were (Cramlingotn) Alisha Cowie, (Boldon) Sarah Bowey (1) and Stacey Bonney (2).
Newcastle 13 v 0 Low Fell
A goal in the first minute set the tone for the match and Newcatle dominated throughout. Another 7 goals followed before half time. Newcastle scored another 5 goals before the end. Low Fell continued until the end and their attitude is first class. Scorers were Jane Spoors (1), Rachel Tippins (1), Leanne Bower (1), Samantha Campion (1), Jane Latif (2), Eleanor Moran (3) and Rachel Armstrong (4). Players of the match were Rachel Armstrong and Cheryl Robinson.
Simply Lasses 4 v 4 Spraire Lasses
The points were shared in this entertaining and tough local derby. Both goalkeepers recieved players of the match as they made some excellent saves. Spraire took the lead through Laura Gowling, however 2 minutes later Simply equalised through Zoe Cooke. In the second period Simply took the lead through Kellie Cox. Simply had a penalty saved and then dominated the second and third periods. Early in the third period Kellie Cox scored again. In the third period the goalkeepers were excellentbut it was Spraire who came back into the game through an own goal. In the final period Spraire were the stronger side and equaliesed the game through 2 goals from Jordan Atkinson. Players of the match were Nikita Cadman and Katie McTague.
Under-13s
Lumley Lasses 0 v 7 Blyth Town
After a goalless and even first quarter, Blyth took control of the game in the second quarter with 3 goals. Lumley worked hard but were exploited when pushing forward and Blyth finished off 7-0. Jodie Kendall got player of the match for Blyth after a good all round performance and Natalie Syson got player of the match for Lumley after some resiliant defending. Scorers were Tracey Corbett, Rachel Lee, Hannah Chisholm (2) and Jodie Kendall (3).
Under-13s Cup
Newcastle 3 v 4 Boldon (aet)
This was a hard fought and close game of football. The first half ended all square. In the 2nd quarter Boldon went ahead but Newcastle equalised in the third quarter. Boldon again took the lead but Newcastle equalised. The game finished 3-3 at the end of normail time. Both teams wentout to win the game in extra time but Boldon won the game 90 seconds from the end. Scorers were (Newcastle) Ruth Sutcliffe, Rachel Ball and Rachel Kobylukh. (Boldon) Jane Riddell (2), Michaela Carter and Rachel Raine. Players of the match were Ruth Sutcliffe and Jane Riddell.
Under-14s Cup
Marton 23 v 0 Catterick
Marton dominated the game on a muddy, boggy pitch. Marton played some good football but Catterick never gave up. Players of the match were Rebecca Hanratty and Louise McCafferey.
Under-18s
Newcaslte 6 v 0 Lumley
After half an hour played, Newcastle were 3-0 up and at half time Newcaslte were 4-0 up. Newcastle scored through their captain after the break and finished the scoring 8 minutes from time. Lumley played a spirited game. Scorers were Sarah Coleman (2) Amanda Ross (2) Lauren Weedy (1) and Holly Perf (1). Players of the match were Amanda Ross and Sarah Price.
