A PUB has introduced a winter menu - for wild birds.
Staff at the Church Mouse on the Great North Road, Chester-le-Street,were briefed by the RSPB during the Time for Birds launch, an initiative aimed at educating people about caring for birds during winter.
Landlord Robert Middlemiss said customers have already got behind other initiatives for the bird charity and for the pub's latest project they are putting out special winter feed and making other efforts to look out for the birds during the winter months.
RSPB spokesman Duncan Batty said: "It is great that the inn is doing this, because it shows customers how much can be achieved with a little effort."
