FOUR males aged 15, 16, 18 and 21 have been bailed to return to Hartlepool police station next week after police found a large quantity of full milk bottles in their Nissan Bluebird car, in Seaton Carew, on Saturday.
Police believe the milk was stolen from doorsteps in the Hart Station, Throston, West Park, Park Road and Seaton Carew areas. Anyone living in these areas whose bottles of milk were stolen between 7am and 9.15am on Saturday, or any witnesses, are asked to contact the Church Street station, on (01429) 865675.
NEW FLATS: Hartlepool Borough Council has received a planning application from Home Housing Association for permission to change the use of and convert a hostel and house in the town's Grange Road into 11 flats. The plans also include staff support accommodation and facilities.

ANNUAL MEETING: Hartlepool Voluntary Development Agency's annual meeting takes place on Thursday at noon in the Blind Welfare Hall, Avenue Road, Hartlepool. The guest speaker is Ray Caldwell, from Voluntary Organisations Network North-East.

COTTAGES APPROVED: Plans to build seven cottages in Yarm have been approved by Stockton borough councillors. The properties will be built at the back of Carleton Terrace and Swinburns Yark.
