A GROUP of youngsters calling themselves the Force have proved they are indeed a force to be reckoned with in the dance world.
The 16 youngsters, aged from 11 to 15, travelled from their Northallerton homes to the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool to take part in the annual Disco Kid Superteam contest.
And they won not only their own under-16 category but went on to emerge as champions from a three-way dance-off to take the title of Superteam 2002.
The youngsters are all members of the Northallerton dance school Planetdance, which was established four years ago by Toni-Louise Armstrong and Darren Carless.
The team has spent the last six months preparing for its big event.
