DOG owners could learn a thing or two from Jack Jamieson.
Posters drawn up by nine-year-old Jack, urging owners to clean up after their pets are to be displayed in parts of Middlesbrough.
His poster came first in a competition at Ayresome Junior School and borough council leaders are warning that the price of ignoring the schoolboy's "Scoop the Poop" message could be a £1,000 fine.
Councillor Ron Lowes, executive member for the environment, said: "We want to send a strong message to the minority of dog owners who act irresponsibly and spoil their local environment. Jack's poster is excellent and will reinforce our message.
"Anyone caught by our community protection service enforcement officers who does not clean up after their dog, will be given a £50 on-the-spot fine, or face a court appearance and a £1,000 fine.''
The posters will go up in the Gresham ward, where Jack attends school.
