YOUNG people's experiences of living in a city form the basis of a new exhibition.
The Our Lives exhibition, which runs at Newcastle's Discovery Museum until Sunday, was created by 11 young people who live in Newcastle but are originally from other countries, including Somalia, Albania, Bolivia, Poland and Ecuador.
The youngsters met at the West End Youth Enquiry Service, which offers advice and support for 11 to 25-year-olds in the west of Newcastle.
After staff noticed they mainly used the service to access the Internet, it was decided to set up a summer project to help them maintain contact with relatives and introduce them to new technology.
Artist Leon Maurice helped them create video postcards and stories using digital video cameras. Some of these are recorded in the youngsters' own languages.
Museum spokeswoman Zoe Brown said: "Our Lives is a fascinating insight into the many different cultures of people living in Newcastle."
