MEMBERS of Saltburn Animal Rescue Association will take a dip in the sea on New Year's Day to help raise funds.
Recent events, including a social evening in Guisborough and a table-top sale at Ings Farm School, raised £665. The appeal to build an animal sanctuary in east Cleveland has raised £75,000, with the Buy-a-Brick appeal raising £3,441.
CHRISTMAS PANTO: Pupils from Bowesfield School and St Cuthbert's School, in Stockton, will be staging Snow White, on December 11 and 12. The performances are at St Cuthbert's School, on the Parkfield Estate, at 1.30pm and 6.30pm, on December 11, and 6.30pm, on December 12. Tickets cost £1.50 and are available on (01642) 393550.
FANCY DRESS: A sponsored fancy dress day will be held at Redcar and Cleveland College on Monday, December 16. Money raised will go to local cancer charity The Katie Trust, established in memory of Redcar schoolgirl Katie Neal.
POOL MEETING: A public meeting of the Get Redcar A Swimming Pool group will be held at Coatham Memorial Hall on Saturday. The guest speaker will be Tanya Grey, from regional development agency One NorthEast.
COFFEE MORNING: A coffee morning in aid of All Saints' Church, Worsall, on Saturday, will be held in the village hall, Low Worsall, from 10am. Admission is £1 for adults, free for children.
FESTIVE CONCERT: Lingdale and Yarm Silver Band will perform a Christmas concert at Skelton Methodist Church on Friday, December 6, at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7pm and admission is £3 or free for under-11s.
COFFEE TIME: Marske Town Centre partnership will be holding a coffee morning and jumble sale on Saturday, at The White House, Marske, from 10am to noon. Entry is 50p.
FESTIVE FAIR: The Inner Wheel Club of Durham is holding a Christmas fair and coffee morning at the Town Hall, Durham, from 10am to noon, on Friday, December 6.
HEDGEHOG DAY: Brotton Library Club will take a closer look at hedgehogs at an event on Wednesday, December 11, from 1pm to 4pm. Admission is free.
CARNIVAL STALLS: Anyone interested in reserving a stall at next year's Brotton Carnival, on July 5, should call (01287) 677336.
