Two men threatened staff with a firearm and a machete, before making off with cash.
The raiders struck at premises on West Chirton North Industrial Estate, North Shields on Tuesday.
The first man is white, 5ft 9in, of stocky build and wore a navy blue top with yellow markings.
His accomplice was white, 6ft 1in, of lean build, with brown eyes and wore a grey fleece top.
Both men wore black ski masks.
