FERRYHILL Leisure Centre is to stage a family fun day tomorrow.
Out of the Bag will include arts activities, theatre shows for children over the age of three and an opportunity to find out more about the Story Sacks scheme.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm and is part of a project linking arts activities with environmental issues. For details and tickets for the theatre shows call the centre on (01740) 654123. PARTNERSHIPS MEET: Bishop Auckland Community Partnership will meet on Thursday at 10.30am in the Four Clocks Centre. On the same day, Crook Community Partnership will meet at 7pm in St Catherine's Community Centre, Market Place, Crook.
COMMITTEE DATES: Wear Valley District Council's licensing committee will meet on Wednesday, at 11am, in the Civic Centre committee room, Crook. The council's Central Resources Committee also meets on Wednesday, at 6pm, in the Civic Centre council chamber.
NEW COURSE: Greenfield Community and Arts Centre in Newton Aycliffe is planning a ten-week course in basic conversational French, from Wednesday, January 15. The course costs £15 for adults, £10 for under-16s. For more details call (01325) 307147 or 379048.
JACKET STOLEN: A blue bomber jacket, valued at £30, a pair of white size 10 trainers worth £40, and a bunch of keys were stolen from a Rover 400 in Kirk Merrington Road, Ferryhill, between 7pm and 9.15pm on Tuesday.
CAROL CONCERT: Sedgefield District Rainbows, Brownies and Guides will hold a carol concert at 6.30pm on Tuesday, in St Edmund's Church, Sedgefield.
COFFEE MORNINGS: A gift day and coffee mornings will be held at Sedgefield St Edmund's Parish Church and Fishburn St Catherine's Church on Saturday, December 7, from 10am to 11.30am.
CAR THEFT: A black Renault Clio, registration number L288 EVN, valued at £2,000, was stolen from Stobbcross Villas, West Cornforth, between 5.15pm and 5.30pm on Wednesday.
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Cockfield village will hold its lantern parade and switch on the Christmas tree lights at Cockfield Primary School at 7pm, on Thursday. Middleton Brass Band will perform.
FESTIVE BAZAAR: St John's Chapel Church will be holding a Christmas bazaar on Saturday, December 7, at 2.30pm. Santa arrives at 3pm.
