In Division One Guisborough TA lifted themselves off the bottom when on their travels they held Saltburn Cons. A to a 3-3 draw. Brian Cook, of Guisborough, was first to the table playing S Binns.
They shared the spoils with frame scores of 62-43 and 42-55. Paul Baggott made it 2-1 for Saltburn after beating Alan Bringloe in his first game 85-12. Bringloe could only look on in amazement as Baggott compiled a brilliant 77 break during this clash, however, Bringloe knuckled down and levelled the match 2-2, beating Baggot in the second game 60-41. Stewart Briggs then put Guisborough ahead when beating Mark Cardaropoli in their first frame 53-28, however, Cardaropoli managed to salvage a tie when beating Briggs in the last game by 54-44.
The big game of the week was between leaders, Redcar Workies A, and second placed Redcar Lakes A with Redcar Workies winning 4-2 . During this match Richard Beckham compiled a 39 break. Grinkle Park jumped into second spot when they held hosts Marske Workies to a 3-3 tie, during this match young Simon Page just missed out by one point on equalling the highest recorded break this season when compiling a remarkable 91 break against David Rhodes. Lune Street B also continued their good run of form when chalking up an excellent 5-1 win against New Marske A. Carlin How A also won away from home beating Guisborough Cons. A 4-2. The Redcar Unionists A beat Redcar Cons. B 5-1, pushing them into bottom spot while Redcar Cons. A had better fortune beating Redcar Lakes C 4-2.
In Division Two Ennis Square B now head the table with 33 points after whitewashing the Lodge 6-0. Steve Sullivan set the standard after beating Stuart Corraines with scores of 69-26 and 73-41. Lloyd then took the next two frames from Paul Butler with scores of 57-19 and 51-32. Robert Cox sealed the win for Ennis when also winning both of his games against Ricky Heseltine 76-32 and 73-10. Lune Street A also made full advantage from playing at home after beating Guisborough Cons. B 5-1. The Redcar Literary Institute beat their opponents, Saltburn Cons. B, by the same scoreline. Ennis Square A suffered a set back when they were beaten 4-2 by hosts Carlin How B. Val's Priory carried on with their run of good form after beating the Redcar Unionist B 4-2 and Redcar Lakes D clinched a 3-3 tie when playing away to Redcar Workies B.
