Hillary is a hat-trick hero
Blackfyne: The Under-8s beat Swalwell A 4-2 with Calvin Hillary (3) and man of the match Kieran Martin scoring the goals.
The Under-9s beat Ryton 7-1 in a great game which was well contested by both teams. Man of the match Andrew Turnbull scored four and John Meadows, David Edwards and Mark Shaw got one each.
The Under-10s Bullets were beaten for the first time this season, going down 2-1 to Ryton Blues. Sam Taylor scored a great individual goal and was voted man of the match.
The Gunners won their first game of the season with a 1-0 victory over Redheugh Whites. Chris Ledger was voted man of the match and scored the only goal of the game.
An excellent all round display saw Blackfyne Under-13s beat Leam Rangers 4-3 with goals from man of the match Connal Reed (2) and Lewis Teasdale (2).
Riverside
Oagain the weather played havoc with the weekend fixtures, leaving the Under-13s with the only Riverside fixture. They entertained Horden in a Premier League game which, despite the heavy conditions, proved to be one of most entertaining games seen at the Hermitage this season.
Riverside deservedly took the lead midway through the first when Mark Peck finished of a strong run down the left by coolly slotting it past the keeper. In the second half Horden fought back well and equalised with about ten minutes left to play. After this both sides had chances to win but the final score remained 1-1.
New County North Durham Youth League
Birtley moved into joint top position in the Under-16 division with a 9-2 victory over Consett, who are now third top.
Mark Crawford, Frank Johnson and Ian Taylor were all among the goals from Birtley while for Consett Philip Bennett and Jamie Henderson scored.
Birtley share leadership with Cleveland Hall while in the Under-16 League Shield Blaydon just had the edge over Wylam by a 4-3 margin. Ian Sutcliffe scored all three goals from Wylam but still finished on the losing side.
In the Under-17 section, Leam Rangers, Redheugh and Blackfyne share the leadership. Leam Rangers defeated Prudhoe 3-1 when Andrew Herridan scored twice while Redheugh dropped to a 9-0 win at Swalwell thanks to hat trick by Tony Thirkeld and Aidan Atkinson.
Blackfyne, who have improved their position in recent weeks, easily defeated Wear Valley 7-1 when Shaun Hodgson found the net on four occasions.
A brace of goals by Stephen Richardson was the feature of Felling Magpies 4-1 success at West Denton and Consett now in fourth position, enjoyed a 3-1 success over Blaydon when Paul Leighton, Gary Charlton and Daniel Appleby were the scorers. Michael Robertson replied for Blaydon.
Apollo Doors Gateshead Youth League
Low Fell, who had won nine of their first ten games were held to a 3-3 draw visiting Hebburn in the Under-11 division. Low Fell's lead at the top of the table has been reduced to just one point over Heworth.
Joshua Nicholson was the hero for Hebburn as he rifled a hat trick and for Low Fell, James Hall bagged a brace of goals.
Two goals from Joe Robe was the highlight of Heworth's victory at Beamish and the biggest win of the day was recorded by Leam Rangers who hammered bottom of the table and pointless Consett 9-0. The goals were recorded by Matthew Hart, with four strikes, Chris Hall, who hit a hat trick and Leon Campbell (2). The other game in the Under-11 section was won by Prudhoe, who finished 4-2 in front of Felling Magpies.
In the Under-12 section, There was a defeat for Whickham Fellside, but they still enjoy a three point lead over Leam Rangers Y although their rivals have three games in hand.
Leam Rangers G were the victors over Whickham Fellside B when Stephen Dewhirst hit a hat trick.
Consett won 5-2 at Blaydon helped by a brace of goals from Connor Etheridge and Redheugh defeated Swalwell 4-1 when Edward Keiron was another player to score twice.
Beamish just had the edge over Cleveland Hall winning by the odd goal in five but Chopwell made light of their task against Winlaton when Stuart Brooke bagged a brace.
Two sides from the league were involved in the Durham County Under-12 Cup and both won handsomely. Low Fell hammered Seaton Carew 12-0 when Alex Tait struck six times and Phil Taylor recorded a hat trick.
Leam Rangers Y were just a goal behind Low Fell, defeating Darlington All Stars 11-1 when Scott Anderson was the leading scorer with four goals.
In the Under-13 division, Redheugh moved into second place with a 9-0 victory over Low Fell C when Liam Henderson struck five times.
In contrast, Blackfyne had their work cut out winning 4-3 at Leam Rangers for whom David Armstrong scored twice. Both Connell Reid and Lewis Teesdale scored twice for Blackfyne.
Daniel Bruce was another player to find the net on two occasions but Consett lost 5-2 to Cleveland Hal for whom David Hubbard and Chris Stephenson both struck a couple of goals.
In the Under-14 section, Whickham Glebe easily saw off Consett 6-1 and Leam Rangers recorded a similar result at the expense of Beamish when John Etchells (3), and Daniel Iveson (2), scored most of the goals.
Keith Simpson, with four goals and Stephen Elliott (3), led Felling Magpies to an 8-1 success at Burnside.
At Under-15 level there was a 12-goal feast when Blaydon defeated Leam Rangers 9-3. Liam Bell (3), Lee Craggs (3) and Carl Peaker (2) were all among the goals for Blaydon.
Stephen Douglas struck four times and John Westgarth twice as Consett ended 9-0 in front of Rutherford and two goals from Michael Small enabled Redheugh to gain a point from a 3-3 draw at Ryton. In the remaining fixture Cleveland Hall finished 3-1 in front of Felling Magpies.
Chester-le-Street Ladies
Chester-le-Street managed a comprehensive 11-2 victory at Blyth Town in the Women's League Cup against a young, but competitive side. Early goals from Laura Darmody, Natalie Gutteridge and then Darmody again set Chester on their way.
Blyth replied through Steph O'Brien but Chester added three more goals through Rachel Furness, Rachel Weightman and Darmody's hat trick.
Claire Snaith scored Blyth's second, but Gutteridge, Vikki Ryder and Darmody made it 9-2 at half time.
The second half was cut short after top scorer Laura Darmody was airlifted to hospital following a collision with a Blyth defender. Leanne Clark scored the resulting penalty and Rachel Young added goal number 11 with another penalty.
Chester-le-Street Town
The Under-18s returned to winning ways on Monday evening when they won through to the semi-final of the Fairs Software Tyneside Junior League Cup, with a comfortable 5-2 home victory against an improving North Tyneside College Academy.
Chester made five changes from the side that lost out in the County Cup against Lumley to face The Academy, managed by former Newcastle United stars Malcolm Allen and Ian Bogie. The visitors found themselves 2-0 ahead after 26 minutes despite there being little between the two sides. As Chester put The Academy under pressure towards the end of the half, Michael Renshaw and Harry Flynn both found the net to level the scores. After the re-start, Paul McDonald put Chester 3-2 ahead before the Moor Park floodlights failed. After the re-start, Karl Haggon and Mark Adamson completed the scoring.

Chester now face New Hartley in the semi-final, who also visit Moor Park on Saturday in the league - 1.30pm kick off. The Cestrians turned around a 1-0 interval defecit to beat New Hartley 4-1 earlier in the season, but are expecting a very tough game. Manager Andrew Muxworthy said: "The Fairs Software League is so strong and none of the games are easy. I dont think people who are not involved with it appreciate what a good standard of football the teams have."
Meanwhile, the Under-18s are preparing to sign up to three players within the next fortnight to boost their campaign after losing Daniel Graham to Middlesbrough and Daniel Newby to Stockport County.
Muxworthy added: "We will be putting in seven days notice to two clubs, and could also be signing a couple of players who are currently unattached but whom will bring real strength to our squad."
