STAFF and pupils at Greenfield School Community and Arts College in Newton Aycliffe held a full day to fundraising activities in support of Children in Need.
The non-uniform and silly hair day was organised by the student council, with support from teacher Janet Adamson.
It raised £550 from donations and the sale of cakes made by the school's craft club.
The pupils have also collected about 85 shoeboxes for the Samaritans Purse Christmas Shoebox Appeal.
Last year the school sent more than 60 shoeboxes to the street children of Moscow.
