CHRISTMAS came to Guisborough this week in a celebration fit for the Queen.
For a 20ft spruce tree from Guisborough Woods, planted by the Forestry Commission in 1952, the year the Queen came to the throne, was donated to the town.
And members of the Forestry Commission's Young Rangers Club were there to make sure it was properly decorated.
Simon Hough, recreation ranger with the Forestry Commission, said: "We have donated the tree because we have always had good connections with the town and we are proud to do so.
"And it is really nice that it fits in with the jubilee year, too."
