GNER has completed a £1m project, introducing its fastticket service at stations on the East Coast Main Line.
Stevenage was the last to benefit; the first was at Kings Cross in London in 1997. GNER claims 30 per cent of its customers now use the fastticket machines, which dispense tickets booked in advance. Both York and Darlington are included in the network.
