Division One: Acklam SW 0 Grangetown BC 1
The top clash of the day was at Acklam Steelworks who entertained League Champions Grangetown Boys Club. In a tight match played on a very heavy pitch Grangetown took the lead through Ian McGowan. In the second half the match swung end to end but no goal was forthcoming and the Boys Club clinched the points.
Bedale FC 3 Fishburn Park 1
Bedale entertained Whitby side Fishburn Park in a rearranged match in which Bedale took the lead through Wayne Gredziak.
The next 20 minutes were very even but five minutes before half time Gredziak gave the home side a 2-0 half time lead.
In the second half Fishburn pressed forward and on the hour they pulled it back to 2-1 through Mike Young. But despite their efforts they could not get back on level terms and with six minutes remaining Gredziak was on hand to secure his hat trick.
Carlin How 2 BEADS FC 6
Carlin How were found short of a goal keeper at the start of their match against Middlesbrough side BEADS FC, club secretary Simon Whitwell was drafted in as stand-in keeper but he was powerless to stop Paul Chamberlin scoring.
The lead only lasted a minute when a long cross from Peter Winspear was headed home by Steve Starsmore. In the second half BEADS took the lead again when Gary South miss hit a 15 yard shot that beat Whitwell in the Carlin How goal. Five minutes Justin Godfrey scored from a penalty to make it 3-1.
Danny O'Riordan then added the fourth. A minute later O'Riordan let fly with a 20 yard shot that Whitwell got his hands too but was unable to keep the ball out of the net. Carlin How pulled it back to 5-2 when Jason Draper scored a penalty. But in the next minute Thomas Jones ran through the Carlin How defence and chipped keeper Whitwell from 25 yards to secure the points.
Stokesley SC 1 Richmond Town 3
Stokesley Sports Club hard work in making sure their pitch was playable failed to help them find a win to try to get them off the bottom as visitors Richmond Town took a 12th minute lead through Michael Sartini.
The visitors extended their lead in the 30th minute when a free kick out on the left was fired in and the ball bounced just before it reached keeper Guy Ngansi and found the back of the net for Sartini's second. In the second half Stokesley then had the advantage of the wind and driving rain but failed to convert any of the chances they created and in the 73rd minute Richmond took the points from the match when Dave Jenkinson chipped the ball over the stranded keeper.
In the last minute Ben Escritt scored a late consolation goal to make it a final score of 3-1.
Division Two
Dormans FC 4 Teesside Ath 0
Lee Alexander making a rare appearance for Dormans scored in the fifth minute to settle the nerves of the home side.
The visitors pushed the home side back on the defensive hoping to beat stand in keeper Gary Foy, but at half time the score remained at 1-0 to Dormans.
Five minutes into the second half James McGowan with his seventh of the season made it 2-0 to the home side and 20 minutes later Alexander with his second of the match, before Kenny Matthews with his second of the season secured the points to keep Dormans in second place four points behind Billingham SMG Redstripes.

The home side took the lead of a very even first half in the 35th minute through Peter Conway. The remainder of the half swung in favour of the visitors but at half time they still remained 1-0 behind. In the second half the visitors again pressed forward looking for the equaliser but SMG secured the double over their local rivals when Alex Degiorgis scored to keep their four-point lead at the top of the table intact.
Teesside Link 1 Darlington SRM 3
Things looked to be going Teesside's way after only five minutes when Garry Haswell was on target making on his debut. Fifteen minutes later the match was all square at 1-1 when Gavin Harris was on target for SRM.
For the first time this season SRM had reversed the deficit when Steve Luck was on target to make it 2-1, in the 38th minute. Luck was on target again to make it 3-1 at the half time break.
Whinney Banks 4 Guisb Town Res 0
After 15 minutes Peter Clark gave the home side a 1-0 lead and three minutes into the second half the visitors found themselves 2-0 behind when Clark was on target again. The visitors showed their fighting spirit and fought for a way back into the match but John Blamires gave Whinney Banks a 3-0 lead, before Anthony High made it 4-0 and helped his team to move up into third.
Durham County Trophy
Seaham Mall 2 Darlington RA Res 3
In an entertaining match Gavin Rose gave RA the lead after 20 minutes before Tom Fletcher pulled it back to 1-1. Seven minutes into the second half Nigel Clarke regained the RA lead, but James Taylor then made it 2-2. But five minutes later the RA took the lead for the third time but the RA then they had to withstand a last ten minutes of pressure. However, RA will be in the draw for the last eight, but Darlington CB will have to play their match at Sunderland next week at the third time of asking.
