A Northallerton pub regular will be gritting his teeth for charity this weekend.
Paul Malton has volunteered to endure an all-over body wax for the town's Cancer Research UK shop and is hoping as many people as possible will come along to support him at the Durham Ox from 3pm tomorrow.
Paul's father has been diagnosed with prostrate cancer, which has prompted him to step forward to help raise money for research into the disease.
* The Bedale branch of the Skipton Building Society raised just over £70 for Children in Need by holding a colouring competition for day nurseries, a word search competition and a treasure hunt. The winning nursery was Jack and Jill, at Burneston
