MEMBERS of a fitness class have raised £420 for St Teresa's Hospice in Darlington.
The Staindrop Shape 'n' Tone class meets every week in the Black Swan pub, in Staindrop, thanks to managers John and Barbara Wilson.
Members make donations instead of paying fees for the class and instructor Pat Thompson gives her time for free.
Jane Bradshaw, hospice director, said: "This is a great effort from everyone involved and we'd like to thank Pat for organising the class and the Black Swan for kindly allowing the ladies to use their facilities.
"As well as raising much needed funds for the hospice, I hope that the ladies feel a little fitter and more toned."
