THE North Yorkshire Road Racing Supporters' Club has assembled several 125cc riders for a chat show at Northallerton Town's clubhouse tomorrow night. Reigning British champion Chris Martin will be joined by former champion Steve Patrickson and newcomer Kenny Tibble, from 8.15pm.
One of the fastest girls on two wheels, Lisa Thorne, will also make the trip from Norfolk with team mate Joe Dickinson, while local riders Russ Hodgson and Paul Veazey will also be taking part. For more details, call (01904) 339647.
COMMUNITY OFFICE: Catterick village community office opens on Thursday with a Make a Difference Day. The event is hosted by the A1 Corridor Community Investment Prospectus group, which developed the one-stop shop in the High Street. CHARITY QUIZ: There will be a charity quiz evening on Wednesday, at New Marske Sports Club, Gurney Street, New Marske, at 7.30pm. DOG CHIPPING: Dog owners in the North-East and Yorkshire are being offered microchipping at a reduced rate this week. Pets at Home, in Clifton Moor, York, and the National Canine Defence League, are offering it for £9.50, or free to the unemployed and senior citizens, on Thursday.
CATHEDRAL CONCERT: Trumpet players from Opera North will join choristers from North Yorkshire for a Christmas carol concert at Ripon Cathedral. The candlelit concert is at 7pm, next Monday, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief. For tickets, priced £10, call (01765) 689978.

GHOST ART: A Harrogate gallery hosts an exhibition of odd portraits by Scottish artist Robert Macmillan from today. 108 Fine Art, in West End Avenue, exhibits the ghostly images by the illustrator. Fifteen of his latest works will be on show until Saturday, December 21.
ADVENT MUSIC: The Methodist Church, in Carlton-in-Coverdale, will host an evening of advent music by Simple Harmony, at 7.30pm, on Friday.
COFFEE MORNING: A Save the Children coffee morning will be held at White House Cottage, in Easingwold, from 10am to noon, on Friday. Entry is £1.
DOMINO DRIVE: The village hall in Eppleby will hold a Christmas domino drive on Wednesday, at 7.30pm.
POPPY SUCCESS: The poppy appeal in Bellerby raised £330 for the Royal British Legion.
