Brian Carson, music in the community co-ordinator at Grangefield School and head of department Rupert Booth have been working with the school choir in preparation for a series of visits to local old people's homes to provide Christmas concerts.
They will perform a selection of Christmas carols and readings to The Beeches, Wellburn House, Victoria House, Church View and St Mary's Day Centre between December 9 and 13.The choir, which consists of pupils from years seven to 11, will give its Christmas Carol Concert at St Peter's Church, Stockton on Monday, December 16.
Then, along with the school band, the choir will take part in the Christmas show which gives the chance for other pupils to display their talents.
Show performances are on December 17 and 19 at the school. Tickets are on sale at £1 each and all the money raised will go towards staging future productions.
