A HARVEST festival celebration has proved bountiful for two local charities.
A seasonal service was held at the Coachman Inn, in Snainton, near Scarborough, by the Reverend John Manchester.
He then went on to help auctioneer Richard Ward run an auction of promises, which brought in £1,500.
The cash has now been split between Scarborough's St Catherine's Hospice and the Pickering's Wilf Ward Family Trust.
The trust is a charity which provides services and support for people with learning and physical disabilities. Chief executive Richard Pacey said: "The money will help support our respite care unit."
