Staff and students at a Darlington college are using the build-up to Christmas to raise cash for the town's St Teresa's Hospice.
Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, in Vane Terrace, is supporting an appeal set up in the summer following the death of Rob Niven, one of the college's governors, who was cared for at the hospice.
On Thursday, GNVQ leisure and tourism students and community sports leaders are staging a three-legged, sponsored fancy dress walk around Stanhope Park.
The proceeds of the college's annual Christmas concert will also be donated to St Teresa's.
The event takes place on Thursday, December 19, at 7.30pm, at the college.
Tickets cost £2.50, or £1 for concessions.
They are available from the college.
