TWO young apprentices have proved so successful in their health club placements, they have won permanent jobs.
Natalie French, 18, from Stanley, and David Jones, 22, from Durham, made such an impression on their training providers at First 4 Fitness, in Chester-le-Street, that they were offered employment at the organisation's health club.
Mr Jones is now a full-time gym instructor and Ms French takes aerobic and bodytone classes.
The pair were both on modern apprenticeships through the Learning and Skills Council County Durham when they were offered the jobs at the club, based at Durham County Cricket Club's ground.
Janet Reveley, of First 4 Fitness, said: "Both Natalie and David had done so well that we asked them if they were interested in jobs."
Details on modern apprenticeships and work-based training are available from the Learning and Skills Council County Durham on (01325) 372 301.
