Belford House stay top of the league, largely thanks to Joe Holborne's four goals in their 5-0 win over Durham Victoria Bridge. Stuart Burton got the other.
Simonside SC beat Birtley Town Reserves 5-3 at home. They led after six minutes, Ray Simpson the scorer, then John Sexton equalised before Mark Pattison had Simonside ahead. Simonside's Michael Ord got another two and Simpson scored his second - Colin Beadling and Lee Cuthbertson adding to Birtley's tally.
Near the bottom Garden Farm Real, drew 3-3 at home to Ebchester FC. David Bridget put Garden Farm in front but Phil Dodd levelled with a penalty. David Standly put the Farm in front again, winning the ball on the half way line making ground to score from 20 yards before Carl Price levelled, latching on to a free kick that came back from the upright. David Bridget got his second just before Phil Dodd got another equaliser from the spot.
Seaham Mallard lost 4-2 at home to Coxhoe Atletic. They were 2-0 down to goals from Dean Smithson and Alan Tolley but James Taylor got one back with a curling shot from 18 yards, then levelled it when Johnathan Rennoldson headed home. In the second half Coxhoe sealed it with another goal from Tolley and one from David Hutchison.
Springwell Village were humiliated going out of the League Challenge Cup 13-0 to Whitehill FC. Michael Pitt (5), Gary Robson (3), Justin Robson (2), Kevin Coats (2) and Mark Elliott did the damage.
Spennymoor Black & Decker were too good for Darlington GSOB beating them 11-2 in the Darlington Charity Cup.
Cockfield were just edged out of the Washington Aged Peoples Trophy 2-1 at home to Brandon Station. They trailed when Paul Webster rounded the Cockfield centre-back to hit the ball in the bottom corner from 12 yards. Brandon went 2-0 up, Paul Eilles hitting a cracking shot through the defence. Cockfield, creating chances in the second half, were only rewarded with a single goal with a chip over Brandon's keeper from 20 yards by John Myers.
Against Darlington Cleveland Bridge in the Durham County Trophy, John Cairns put Sporting Club Sunderland ahead but Wayne Buckly hit back for CB who then went in front when Jimmy Morris headed in a fine cross. SC pressed in the second half and were rewarded with an equaliser from Geoff Smith. In extra time SC won the tie Lee Butler golden goal.
