Hathaway and Cope Stokesley League: Thornaby Mand. 10 v 1 Sth. Bank Utd
Games involving South Bank during November produced no 43 goals between them. Whereas previous games had seen some fairly close encounters, Saturday's game saw United up against a side that more than lived up to their position as leaders. Bradley Murray chipped the keeper for Mandale's opener and that was the start of a goal rush during which Stephen Lambert scored a hat-trick inside 15 minutes and Murray adding two more to his tally before the interval for his hat trick. The goals continued to flow with Craig Duncan finding the net with a diving header. John Webster pulled a goal back when his cross floated in at the far post but two more from Lambert together with a David Hill strike completed a fine performance.
Coulby N'ham 5 v 5 B&H King's Head
The goals also flowed at Sandy Flatts with Coulby and the King's Head having to settle for a point each as they shared ten goals. Richard May and Stewart Glence gave Coulby a two goal lead inside the opening twenty minutes only for the King's Head to bounce back when Gary Round capitalised on a goalkeeping error and Brain Crawley converted from the penalty spot five minutes later. Sean Jenney restored Coulby's lead from the edge of the box shortly before the break but early in the second period it was the King's Head's who started strongest equalising through Crawley before Ian Warner put them ahead for the first time in the game. The scoreline remained in the King's Head's favour till late in the game when this seesaw match came to a conclusion in dramatic fashion. Five minutes remained when Matthew Symmonds hammered the ball home from all of forty yards to bring Coulby back on terms and they looked to have picked up the points when debutant mark Sowerby scored from close range. Kings Head however were not finished and a goal mouth mix up in the dying seconds ended with Darren Fulford tapping home the equaliser.
M'brough PO 5 v 5 S'ton Elementis
Remarkably there was a similar scoreline at the Steelworks ground where despite taking a two goal lead through John Leach, Post Office trailed 3-2 at the break after a determined comeback from Elementis. Kevin Spriggs brought the Post Office back on terms with a brilliantly executed volley from 25 yards out and Leach restored their lead from the penalty spot only for Elementis to come back yet again. Stephen Dalton looked to have scored a late winner when up popped Mark Allinson in the last minute for his second goal of the game. Steve Clark, Graham Lyons and Steve Darbyshire were also on the mark for Elementis.
The Grenadier 2 v 2 Ennis Square
Ennis Square are rapidly becoming the league's draw specialists with this result their fifth tied game of the season. The first half saw them trailing two nil at the break with the Grenadier taking the lead thanks to a diving header from Paul Stephenson following good work from Craig Bishop. Stephenson also had a hand with the Grenadier's second goal when his centre was fumbled by the keeper and Andy Fixter showed great control in a tight situation before slotting the ball home. Having struggled in the first half to put their game together, Ennis were a different side after the break and deservedly equalised on the hour when Wayne gent fired home from the edge of the area. Ennis continued to press and ten minutes from time, Stephen Lee Gent scrambled the ball home for the Ennis equaliser.
Black Horse 1 v 7 Woodman's Arms
The Woodmans lifted themselves out of the reelection zone with a convincing victory in their bottom of the table clash with the Black Horse. Woodmans hit four goals in the opening half hour before the Black Horse registered their only goal when Peter Harbron's 25-yard effort flew over the Woodman's keeper. Normal service was resumed after the break however with the Woodmans doing their goal difference the world of good with three more.
Stokesley 0 v 4 St. Mary's Coll. OB
A young Stokesley side did well to hold their more experienced opponents for the opening half hour but once the College had their noses in front, there was only likely to be one result. College man of the match Ian Blackmore scored twice for the visitors while Dave Aspery and Mark Elliott made their contribution with a goal apiece. Despite the scoreline, Stokesley keeper Gary Cairns picked up his sides man of the match award for some excellent saves while Kevin Wilson proved to be a handful for the College rearguard.
Thornaby Village 3 v 0 North Skelton
The Village made it four wins out of five during November with this result that takes them up to fifth in the table. Roger Deaves opened the scoring on the half hour with a well executed overhead kick and it was Deaves who added a second fifteen minutes into the second half when he latched on to a through ball before firing into the bottom corner of the net. Fifteen minutes remained when Michael head made sure of the points when he got on the end of a cross from Paul Rae to head home at the far post.

Bulls Head 0 Redcar Coke Ovens 2
Redcar Coke Ovens booked their place in the second round of the Arthur Reed Shield when they beat the Bulls Head at the second time of asking following their postponed game two weeks ago. A scrappy first half with limited chances unsurprisingly produced a goalless 45 minutes but early in the second half, Coke Ovens full back Tony Duffy lifted the ball over the keeper following a good build up. Ten minutes from time, with Bulls pushing for an equaliser, Coke Ovens broke away and Gary French put the result beyond doubt firing the ball home in off the underside of the bar.
