Lumley Lasses 0 v 15 SAFC 24/7
The half time scoreline of 6-0 did not reflect how both sides had battled. In the final quarter the conditions made goalkeeping impossible. Lumley's player of the match was goalkeeper Amy Gaskell and for SAFC it went to Donna Bolton. Scorers were Lauren Ramshaw, Abby Holmes (3), Samantha Sweeney (3), Holly Taylor (4) and Donna Bolton (4).
Low Fell 1 v 2 South Durham Royals
Low Fell took the lead through Charlotte Walton who was the team's player of the match. But South Durham replied and the winning goal was scored in the third period of play. Player of the match for South Durham was R Toppin.
Boldon 2 v 0 Blyth Town
Boldon won the game early on with a goal in each of the first two periods from Sophie Williams and Stephanie Shaw with player of the match awards going to Stacey Bonney (Boldon) and Anna Thompson (Blyth).
Marton 8 v 2 St. Francis 2000 FC
Marton's Steph Chisman scored the first goal and this was followed by a Becky Robinson strike. St. Francis pulled one back through Sarah Rowbotham, who then scored the equaliser. Marton hit back then with another goal from Becky Robinson who scored five and their other goals came from Jade Orton and Samantha Conroy. Players of the match were Laura Wilson (Marton) and Lauren Bates (St. Francis).
Spraire Lasses 12 v 1 Seaton Carew
Spraire took control with a Rachel McKnight goal, this was followed by a Laura Gowling strike and a second from Rachel before Jordan Atkinson grabbed two goals and Rachel McKnight went on to complete her hat-trick. Seaton keeper, Jessica Coates, made several excellent saves which earned her player of the match. Laura Spence scored her first goal of the season. Rachel McKnight scored four on the day along with Laura Gowling, with Jordan Atkinson scoring her hat-trick. Kirsty Muir scored a well deserved goal for Seaton with Spraire's Katie McTague taking the player of the match award.
Norton & Stockton 4 v 6 Billingham
Scorers for Norton were Emily Wilson (3) and Philippa Thomas and player of the match went to Claire Armstrong. For Billingham, scorers were Amy Plummer (2) and also took player of the match and the other goals came from Jessica Close (2) and Rachel Turner Holmes (2)
M'brough FITC 2 v 2 D'ton Simply L.
The highlight of the first two periods was a wonderful penalty save from the home team's debutant keeper Ashleigh Trainer. Boro's girl of the match Jess Hughes placed a shot firmly into the corner of the net but Simply struck back with two goals from girl of the match Kelly Cox and Kerry Denham. Five minutes from time Becky Stephenson rounded the keeper to equalise.
Under-13s
Lumley Lasses 0 v 8 Boldon
Boldon dominated and built up 4-0 lead. Two goals in each of the final two periods saw the visitors win 8-0 winners. Players of the match were Steffeni Crann (Boldon) and Emma Preston (Lumey).
Norton & Stockton 8 v 2 North Shields Juniors
Scorers were Hayley Pratt (5), Katie Louden (2) and Natalie Thomas with the North Shields goals coming from Rachel Young and Stephanie Hutchinson. Players of the match went to Hayley Pratt (Norton) and Stephanie Towns (North Shields).
Under-14s
Boldon 1 v 3 Blyth Town
Midway through the first half Blyth conceded a free kick which hit the wall but the rebound was driven home. From the kick off Boldon eased off and Blyth used the long ball to good effect pulling two goals back to take the lead. The second half saw more of the same with a third driven from distance. Players of the match went to Helen Alderson (Boldon) and Danielle Baker (Blyth).
St Francis 2000 17 v 0 Forest Hall
Scorers, against a team who were two players short, were Becky Mith (3), Justine Robinson (2), Sophie Taylor, Kelly Daley, Stacey Magill (2), Helen McCamley (4) and Sarah Pout (4). The Forest Hall player of the match was Tara Azia and Forest Hall's was Kelly Daley.
Spraire Lasses 0 v 3 Lumley Lasses
Spraire could only muster nine players, but a good match was played. More players saw Lumley have all the attacking play but were kept at bay by the outstanding Pamela McDonald. In the second half Lumley scored twice in a five minute spell, and then added a third with a fine shot from the edge of the area. Spraire's player of the match was Danni Shutt and Lumley's went to Natalie Garrett. Goals were scored by S Lee (2) and K Minto.
Under-18s
Boldon 6 v 6 Lumley Ladies
Kicking off with only nine players Boldon, fell behind to ten-player Lumley and by the interval Boldon were trailing by 5-2. No sooner had Boldon have a tenth player arrive they pulled a goal back, then lost a player to injury, down to nine players again they battled through the visitors defence to score two quick goals and level the score. With both sides evenly contesting the final ten minutes and scoring a further goal a piece to make the final score 6-6. Boldon's player of the match was Alison Leach and Lumley's was Emma Nicholson.
