Division One: BEADS FC 3 v 2 Stokesley SC

BEADS FC raced into a 2-0 lead, Lee Bowes and Paul Callen scoring. But James Middleditch pulled a goal back when he flicked a near post corner into the net to make it 2-1 at half time. The home side had a good number of chances before and after this goal and should have been further in lead but just before half time Callen was on target again in the 40th minute with his second of the match and 4th of the season to make it 3-1 at half time. In the second half a spirited fight back was on the cards when Stokesley pushed forward with the long ball over the top creating problems for the BEADS defence and it was no surprise when Ben Escritt pulled it back to 3-2 in the 75th minute, leaving the home side with a back to the wall defence as the visitors pressed forward but were unlucky not to force the equaliser they possibly deserved.

Bedale FC 6 v 2 Wolviston Res

Bedale agreed to Wolviston Reserves request to switch venues due to the state of the Wolviston pitch, and after only five minutes Bedale took a 5th minute lead through Paul Taite, his 5th of the season, Wayne Gredziak gave his side a 2-0 lead in the 38th minute, which remained the half time score. Three minutes into the second half Gredziak made it what looked like a comfortable 3-0 lead against Wolviston, but they had other ideas and Jonathan Davison pulled it back to 3-1 in the 62nd minute, with Dave Atkinson pulling it back to 3-2 three minutes later. This seemed to wake up the home side and Gredziak grabbed his hat trick goal in the 75th minute and then made it 5-2 three minutes later with his forth of the game and 18th of the season, he now takes over as the Leagues leading goal scorer, before Steven Anderson wrapped up the win with his 4th of the season in the last minute.

Five minutes into the second half Draper with his second of the game and 10th of the season made it 4-0, but on the hour Martin Gibbons gave the Redcar side a glimmer of hope when he scored his 4th of the season to make it 4-1. Eight minutes later Ward completed his hat trick to make it 5-1 before Martin Say with his 4th of the season finalised the scoring with five minutes remaining.

On the hour the Acklam keeper made a mistake on the edge of the box and former Acklam player Chris Fuller made it 3-0 with his second of the season. The speedy Anthony Roberts then out paced the Acklam defence before slipping his 11th of the season home into an empty net in the 70th minute, before Dean Talukder with his 12th of the season scored a late consolation for Acklam, but Nunthorpe were well worth the win and now trail leader Thornaby by six points having played the same number of games.
