Spennymoor A were able to extend their lead at the top of the First Division to three points after they beat the visiting Sherburn Village for the loss of only one point.
The visitors winner was Alan Greener, but the Moors had wins from Eddie Rhodes, Paul Atkinson with a 42 break, Paul Biddle and John Wilson.
Wheatley Hill A share second place following their odd point win at Brandon, who were without captain, Brian Graham. Jack Wright, Dave Walker and Dennis Clish won for the Hill with Kevin Sample and Owen Howarth taking points for the home side.
Old Shildon share the second place with Wheatley Hill A after they came back to take the decider at Willington. Tom Parkin put the home side ahead but Billy Goggins levelled. Bobby Lee restored the home lead only to see Steven Bennett square the match. In the decider Old Shildon's Charlie Blake beat Gordon Parkin.
Cockton Hill slipped two points behind the joint second place holders after they went down to the visiting Newton Aycliffe, who were never headed. Ronnie Hall put the visitors ahead but Kevin Mordica equalised. Richie Young restore Newtown's lead but Andrew Aisbitt pulled the Hill level. In the decider the visitors captain, John Briddick beat Harold Lomax.
Norman Smith gave Meadowfield a good start against the visiting Fishburn A but from that point the visitors took over with wins from John Griffin with a 31 break, Wayne Oliver, John Carter and Charlie Hirst. This win put Fishburn into fifth place, one point behind Cockton Hill.
Witton Gilbert gave their dodgy league placing a boost when they only dropped one point to the visiting Shotton Palms, who have now slipped two points behind the rest of the teams. John Armstrong gave the Palms the early lead but then Witton had wins from John Rooney senior, Ian Renwick, John Rooney junior and Peter Bennett.
In the top of the table clash in the Second Division, Newhouse crashed to their first defeat when they visiting leaders, Wingate and only took one point when Steve Mountain won. The home side had wins from Geoff Howe, John Bourne, Joe Mason and Steve Allen to go two points clear at the top.
Bearpark retained their unbeaten record when they only dropped one point to the visiting Spennymoor B and trail Newhouse by a single point. Bearpark looked to be on the way to a whitewash success when they took the first four frames through Shaun Easter, Alan Smith, David Jackson and Alan McCluskey but Wayne Parry broke the home run when he took the final frame for the Moors.
Ferryhill moved in a point behind Bearpark after they only dropped one point at Belmont, who had Steven Armstrong as their only winner. The visiting winners were Adrian Jones with a 44 break, Neil Spender, Ian Fawcett and Glyn Toas.
Stanley Central took the first and last frames when they entertained Hunwick A with wins from Frank Foster and Harry Grimes. The visitors went to victory by taking the three middle frames through Ian Richardson, Neville Blenkinsopp and Des Mason.
Ray Coates put Langley Park ahead when they visited Wheatley Hill B, but then Dave Carter and Jock Frost won for the home side. Stephen Coates put in a 31 break for the Park to level the match and the visitors completed a good win when Paul Nord beat the Hill's Tony Ellison in the decider.
Durham City were able to move four points clear at the top of the Third Division when they only dropped the first point at Hunwick B. Dave Penman put the home side ahead but then the City had wins from Gary Ward, Brian Dunn, Michael Pratt and Eric Wright.
Crook Belle Vue moved into third place, one point behind Sacriston, who were without a match, when they only dropped one point at New Durham. The home side went ahead through Kevin Scullion but Crook went to victory with wins from Ken Rider, Gordon Sample, John Warriner and Derek Potts.
Leeholme A scored their first win of the season when they edged through by the odd point at Fishburn B. The home side went two up with wins from Dave Thompson and Alan Wilson but Anthony Forster and Lawrence Jones levelled the match. In the decider, Leeholme's Barry Shaw beat Keith Binks.
John Taylor scored the only point for Leeholme B when they entertained Tow Law. Ernie McEleavey capped a confident return to the Lawyers side with a good win and was joined as point scorers by Heppell Hodgson, Tommy Willliams and Charlie Donaghy.
Coundon lifted themselves up to fourth place following a maximum success on their visit to Crowtrees B, but the home side failed to submit the full result card.
