Spennymoor manager Tony Lee is trying to bring a new striker to the club in time for tomorrow's game at Radcliffe Borough.
Even though Lee has been very active in the transfer market recently, he still feels that his forward line needs strengthening, especially after several chances went begging in the Trophy defeat at Halesowen on Tuesday.
"Even if I can bring a player in on loan, then he can play for a calendar month, which will take us through Christmas and the New Year."
Moors have re-arranged their away game at Kendal for Tuesday December 17. The game at North Ferriby, which had to be postponed on Tuesday because of Moors' FA Trophy replay, has yet to be re-arranged.
Bishop Auckland, meanwhile, have reduced admission prices for children and oaps to £1 for this Saturday's First Division home game with Chorley.
Bishops are currently second from bottom, one point behind Guiseley and two behind Eastwood Town.
Bishops have Eastwood and bottom club Trafford to play in the forthcoming weeks, and will be desperate for the points to aid their fight against relegation.
John Coppinger, who is chairman of Federation Brewery, has taken over the president's position at Blyth Spartans. The previous president, Jack Charlton, quit last month soon after his son John was sacked as manager.
