MOTORISTS are being warned of bridge closures on the A1018 River Wear road crossing in Sunderland tomorrow night.
Wearmouth Bridge, which is undergoing refurbishment and repainting, will be closed to traffic from 11.30pm tomorrow until 5am on Monday.Temporary traffic management will be introduced to cater for traffic heading to and from the Stadium of Light for Sunderland's Premiership match against Manchester City on Monday. The bridge will be closed again, from 11.30pm on Monday until 5am on Tuesday, to allow the temporary traffic management system to be removed and the normal four-lane flow to be restored. Pedestrian access will remain in place throughout.
SURGERY DATES: Durham City councillors for Belmont, Carrville and Gilesgate Moor will hold surgeries in Belmont Community Centre, on Tuesday, at 7.15pm and next Saturday, from 10am to 11am, at Carrville Communal Hall, Broomside Lane.
WOODS WALK: Countryside rangers Gloria and Neville Anderson will lead a four-mile walk through Beamish Woods today, starting at 10am at the Eden Place Picnic Area, near the entrance to Beamish Museum. The walk costs £2, concessions are £1.

ON SONG: Durham Cathedral Choir will sing in Durham Market Place between 11am and 12.30pm, next Saturday, to raise money for city Mayor Councillor Eileen Rochford's appeal in aid of children's charities.
ADVICE SESSIONS: Durham Citizens Advice Bureau will hold advice sessions on Tuesday, at Bowburn Community Centre, from 10am to noon, and at Esh Winning Community Centre, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
CAROL SERVICE: The Women's Fellowship at All Saints' Church, Newton Hall, Durham, is holding a carol and Christmas service on Tuesday, December 17, at 2.15pm.
