A 24-YEAR-OLD woman driver suffered serious head injuries yesterday morning when her car hit a wall on the outskirts of Bishop Auckland.
The woman, from Bishop Auckland, has not been named, but was said to be poorly but stable in Middlesbrough General Hospital last night. Police said her Nissan Almera left the road at Old Eldon crossroads, near Shildon. Police have asked witnesses to call 0191-386 4929.
