YOUNGSTERS dressed up to give festive shoppers in Middlesbrough a treat by showing them a sneak preview of their ice pantomime.
Junior members of Billingham Ice Skating Club performed several scenes from The Wizard of Oz at the open-air rink in the town centre.
Choreographer Stuart Wilson said: "This is our 32nd pantomime and each year it just gets more spectacular.
"Although the cast are amateur skaters, they gave a truly polished performance.
"Some of the main characters of the show are thrilled to be showcasing routines from the show in Middlesbrough and hope we will get the audience in the mood for Christmas."
The production is running from Sunday to December 19 at Billingham Forum.
Tim Cantle-Jones, managing director of Polar Productions, which manages the outdoor rink, said: "We hope that by hosting events like this, we will raise the profile of ice skating and encourage more people to take it up throughout the year - not just for the duration of the seasonal rink.
