A restaurant offering modern European cuisine has opened.
Oldfields, which already has restaurants in Barnard Castle and Darlington, has opened its latest branch at Claypath, Durham City.
The restaurant, which employs about 20 local people, is part of the firm's expansion plans for the next five years, in which it hopes to bring the total number up to 15.
It has already put in a bid for a building in Jesmond, Newcastle, which it hopes to convert.
