Unbeaten in four matches, Quakers can do no wrong at the moment as caretaker boss Mick Tait continues to press forward his case to become the next Darlington manager.
It's almost two months since Tommy Taylor vacated the Feethams hot seat and was replaced by his No 2.
Tait, the former Hartlepool boss, who has tasted just one defeat in his eight games in charge, is delighted with the response from his players.
"It's always pleasing to see the better parts of the players and that's coming out now," said Tait.
"When things aren't going so well players think twice about doing certain things, but at the moment we're playing pretty well.
"We're delighted with the way we're playing now."
Despite a less than convincing first half, Quakers eventually made light work of Conference side Stevenage Borough at the weekend to seal their place in the third round of the FA Cup with a comfortable 4-1 win.
"It was a really tricky tie against a decent side who tried to play football," said Tait.
"We'd expected a tough game and they certainly provided us with one in the first half."
Tait is preparing for a similar battle when another Conference side, Farnborough Town, are the visitors to Feethams in the third round.
"They've done very well to get this far and they'll be looking to get even further," said Tait.
However, Tait remains confident he has the players to see off the non-league side.
"As I said with the Stevenage game, they're in a division below us and I think we should have enough ability to take care of them.
"It's not going to be easy but I think we have the players to get us through."
The Darlington Supporters Trust is holding its latest fans' forum at the Iron Horse pub, Newton Aycliffe, at 7.30 this evening. Director of PR Luke Raine, along with Ian Clark and one other player yet to be confirmed, will be in attendance.
