The North-East will receive a major funding boost for transport.
£101m will be spent to improve transport in the region.
The largest project will be an £11m accessibility project in North Middlesbrough - including major changes to the Hartington interchange.
Work on the South Stockton Link Road and the A689 at Wynard will recieve additional funding, along with road improvements in Hartlepool, and public transport changes in Darlington.
Real-time information systems will also be introduced across the Tees Valley. Some local authorities have earned extra money for good performance.
