THIEVES stole thousands of pounds of goods and tools in a raid on a Derwentside factory.
They forced a padlock to break into NE Stairlifts on the Berry Edge Industrial Estate, stealing two Bison Bede Classic stairlifts with a retail value of £1,000 each.
The raiders also took a yellow, diesel-powered power washer worth about £1,400, a blue Makita saw and a Makita drill.
The break-in was between Saturday, November 16 and Monday, November 18.
