A MAYORESS has thrown down a Boxing Day dip challenge to the mayor.
Councillor Brenda Foster, Redcar and Cleveland Council's Mayoress, has asked Mayor Eric Jackson to take the plunge for charity.
And Coun Jackson says his willing to do it ... but only if the mayoress comes in as well.
Coun Foster said: "There must be an easier way of raising money. But if we can have giggle and get people sponsoring us, we'll have a go."
Coun Jackson said: "I'm not sure if this will be the wisest decision I've made this year."
The dip is organised by the Teesside Lions Club and takes place at 11am. Funds raised will go to various charities, including the mayor's charity fund.
