Belford House continue in top form earning another three points away to Cockfield.
They won 2-1, taking the lead when Ken Taylor saw his 20 yard shot dip into the net over the keeper's head. John Holborn put Belford further ahead but Cockfield were rewarded with their only goal when Paul Dunn got a tap in. Birtley Town Res. beat Durham Vic. Bridge 4-3 at home, Lee Cuthbertson and Colin Beadnell put them 2-0 in front. After the break Darren Burnham scored a double to get Durham Vic level before Cuthbertson and Beadnell got a second goal each for Birtley with Kenny Miller getting a third for Durham Vic.
Springwell Village still lie bottom of the league after losing 5-1 at home to Spennymoor B&D. The damage was done with goals from Alan Robson (2) Maurice Hilton, Lee Hodgson and Steven Denham with Mark Kirtley replying.
Brandon Station had an 8-0 win at home to Ebchester FC. They were 2-0 up in the first half, Gavin Bell and David Ford the scorers. In the second half Gavin Bell got his hat-trick with another two. Paul Webster hit two, David Ford got his second and Paul Gill the other.
Hartlepool Town beat Seaham Mallard 5-2 at home. The score was 1-1 at half time, David Eglentine putting Hartlepool ahead and James Taylor pulling The Mallard level. Chris Young, Dave Smith and two from Chris Birkbeck put Hartlepool 5-1 in front before Michael Evans got another for The Mallard.
Seaham The Duke won 4-3 at home to Simonside Social Club. Ray Simpson put Simonside ahead when he lobbed the keeper but the Duke levelled via Scott Burns before he putting The Duke 2-1 up with a header. Ray Simpson and Stephen Hart had Simonside 3-2 ahead but the Duke got two goals, another from Scott Burns for his hat-trick in and the winner from Ross Pinder.
Coxhoe Athletic beat Shildon Railway 4-1 away in a bad tempered Auckland Charity Cup. Dean Smithson put Coxhoe ahead with a chip from 20 yards. Shortly after the goal they were down to ten men with Robert Tones being sent off for a confrontation with the linesman. This gave Shildon a spur who were rewarded with a penalty, Kevin Hamilton putting it away. Although playing with ten men, Coxhoe were the better team and showed their worth with another two goals from Dean Smithson for his hat-trick and another from Alan Tolley.
