David Dixon of Tow Law New Market A maintained his excellent singles form when he won at Hamilton Row Black Horse to remain unbeaten in any match this season.
His performance also inspired his team to record a five points victory over their fourth-placed hosts. The New Market A went 12 points clear at the top with two trebles points, singles wins from Kenneth Atkinson, David Dixon, Darren Yeoman, Robbie McFadden and John Parkin, whilst Pat Elliott took the only singles for the home side, who went on to take two of the three doubles points.
Newhouse Club maintained some slight pressure on the New Market A when they whitewashed their hosts at Sunniside Comedian but their rivals remain 12 points clear with a match in hand. However Newhouse Club seem certain to at least land the runners-up spot as they lead the third placed, Tow Law Cattle Mart by 24 points.
The leading individual scorers were R. McFadden with 180 and a thirteen darts finish, T. McQuillan 180 for Newhouse Club, W. Anderson 180 and 140 for Stanley Earl Derby, A. Boughey 171 and J. Jordan 140 for the Cattle Mart, G. Tennant 154 for the New Market B and W. Railton 140 for the Comedian.
The Captain's table was thrown wide open again when Kenneth Atkinson of the New Market A was beaten by Kevin Brown of Hamilton Row Black Horse. This now means that the New Market A share the top spot with Stanley Earl Derby and Newhouse Club.

Willington League
Willington Burn had the chance of joining the top four provided they could score a big win over the visiting Willington Cottles but a shock was on the cards as the visitors lifted their game and only dropped three points. The Burn's singles wins came from Malcolm Campbell and Gordon Foster, whilst Cottles went ahead with singles wins from John Barron, Keith Nicholson, Kenny Louth and John Scott. The Burn took the first doubles through Colin Davison and Lyndon Taylor but Cottles returned to winning vein with doubles points from Keith Nicholson with John Scott and Chris Todd with Kenny Louth. Cottles then completed a good night by taking the team game.
Hunwick Joiners Arms lead the table by two points from Willington Black Horse Tavern, who lead Willington Club by nine points. However the Victoria Club are only five points behind Willington Club and have a match in hand.

Belle Vue cut Market's first division lead to five points with a big win at Travellers. The top two met in division two and leaders Cricket Club won by the odd point at Australian. RAFA have a comfortable lead in the first division dominoes league and Jelly's A & B sides lead the way in division two.

Crook Mill House extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points after they almost completed a whitewash success on their visit to Howden Sunnydene Lodge. In the match between second and third placed teams, Willington Brewer's Droop pulled up level with the visiting Crook Coach and Horses with a three point victory.
