Redheugh had an easy 5-1 victory at home to North Tyneside College whose only goal was scored by Ian Graham.
Chris Laws struck a hat-trick and other scorers for the Reds were David Jeffers and Danny Olusaja.
In midweek Chester-le-Street staged their game with North Tyneside College and won 6-0. Paul McDonald and Mark Adamson both hit a couple of goals and others on the mark for the Cestrians were Andrew Smith and Michael Renshaw.
Redheugh lead the table by just one point from Chester-le-Street. The sides have played the same number of games and Walker Central, who until recently were in pole position, are now third a point adrift of the two leading sides. The trio have all fulfilled eight fixtures.
