STUDENTS braved the December chill yesterday to bring a little colour to a Darlington park.
Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College students donned fancy dress for a three-legged walk around nearby Stanhope Park, in aid of St Teresa's Hospice.
The fundraising drive is an especially poignant one for the college, as former governor Rob Niven, who died earlier this year after a brave fight against cancer, was cared for at the hospice.
It was organised by GNVQ leisure and tourism and community sports leader students.
The proceeds of the college's Christmas concert will also go to the hospice. It takes place on Thursday at 7.30pm, in the main hall.
Tickets, which include seasonal refreshments, cost £2.50, concessions are £1, and are available from the college.
