DRAMATIC productions starring heroes, witches and magical lakes were played out yesterday.
The Cascade Celebration took place at Haughton Community College, in Darlington, and brought together some of the town's most talented young performers. Cap-a-Pie, the college's theatre company in residence, worked with students, as well as pupils from five local primary schools, during the past ten weeks to produce the show.
Each group devised and produced its own play, bringing magical lands and creatures to life. Cap-a-Pie and the college worked with groups of 30 pupils from Springfield, Red Hall, Gurney Pease, Whinfield and Heathfield primary schools.
The show was performed in front of Darlington mayor, Councillor Doris Jones.
