Richmond 4 v 2 Stockton

The visitors had a tough task ahead from the start with only nine players available. They battled hard only to go two goals down early in the game with goals from Colleen McGourley and Sam Dunne. Undaunted Stockton retaliated and pulled a goal back when Caroline Jones found the back of the net. Richmond scored their third after McGourley scored her second.

The second half saw Stockton play with determination, however, being two players down Richmond were able to play around them, the visitors scored again when captain Liz Thompson beat the defence and keeper. Tired legs finally gave Richmond's Amanda James the final goal of the game. Player of the match for Richmond, Sam Dunne, for Stockton, Caroline Jones.

New Dales 7 v 2 Northallerton

The home side turned out with only nine players in this rearranged fixture against Northallerton knowing they would put the opposition under pressure. Their ambition, however, left gaps in their defence and despite stalward defending from Lynne Holmes and Helen Mudd. Northallerton soon capitalised on this when Lisa Oddy opened the scoring after a clever movement from their left side, created by some accurate passing between Northallerton's forward line. New Dales were not disheartened and continued to play in a very positive manner. Their reward came very quickly with Helen Simpson, who was outstanding on the right, scoring the first of her four goals. With renewed vigour New Dales continued to push forward with Helen Simpson scoring her second just before half-time.

Northallerton's young team continued to play good hockey in the second half and never lost their composure. New Dales, however, perhaps because of their reduced numbers worked hard and passed the ball well. Annie Tombleson freed herself from her markers regularly in midfield and became a target for many passes where she distributed the ball effectively into the Northallerton circle. It was Helen Simpson again scoring a further two goals, one an excellent strike from the edge of the circle which left Northallerton's keeper Jacquie Griffiths with no chance of saving. With New Dales left winger Lucy Walker tapping in a cross on the near post to reward her for her deceptively fast runs down the wing.

The visitors retaliated when teenager Emma Metcalfe found herself space on the left side of the circle to place the ball past keeper Gill Brine to score her first league goal. New Dales continued to push forward and Lucy Walker scored her first hat-trick of the season. Player of the match for New Dales, Lucy Walker, for Northallerton, Hannah Chapman.

Norton 7 v 0 Northallerton

Within the first few minutes Norton took an early lead after a penalty corner conversion from in-form Laura Whaley. A second was scored by good passing and movement which started from Norton's circle through the midfield to the Northallerton circle. Suzy Winn drew the keeper Jacquie Griffiths off her line, she then made a square pass to Lyndsey Barthram for her to slip the ball behind the keeper.

The third goal was from a reverse stick sweep by Suzy Winn around the keeper with accuracy and confidence. Northallerton kept pushing forward, rewarding them with several breaks after penetrating the Norton defence only to be denied by young keeper Sarah Whitelock. The fourth goal was a hit from the penalty spot, again scored by Suzy Winn, further attacking play from Norton resulted in a further two goals, one from Lucy Dale and a hat-trick for Suzy Winn. Norton completed the game with Rachael Malcolm scoring the seventh and final goal. Player of the match for Norton, Lynsey Swain, for Northallerton Jo Bateson.
