The super league singles knockout took place at Daisy Hill, Sacriton and proceedings did not start well when a mix up prevented the ladies of the super league from entering the competition.
There was £100 guaranteed prize money to the winner and 42 players from the super league turned up to battle it out. Michael Rhodes of Durham showed once again he is the man to beat in County Durham over the longer matches when he beat Shaun Williams of Horden in the final. The secretary received no results from the tournament.

The Hare and Greyhound won a close match against the Flass 7-6. Two wins for D Hann and single wins from G Maughan, P Moralee, A Jeffrey, N Hunter and R Miller. D Mickle and I Dinsdale both won two games, the other wins for the Flass came from G Brighton and J Ayre.
