Division One: Bedale FC 5 v 0 Mackinlay Park

Second placed Bedale inflicted the twelfth defeat of the season on Redcar side Mackinlay Park, who went behind after half an hour when Paul Taite was on target, two minutes before half time Taite was on target for the second time to give Bedale a 2-0 half time. Ten minutes into the second half their was no respite for the visitors when Wayne Gredziak, the Leagues leading scorer made it 3-0 with his 19th goal of the season. Mackinlay Park then pressed the home side back, but eight minutes before time Taite grabbed his hat trick goal and then scored his 4th of the match and 9th of the season in the 88th minute to secure the points and lessen the lead between themselves and leaders Thornaby, who's match against Carlin How was one of the three first division matches to be postponed.

Grangetown BC 4 v 4 Nunthorpe Ath

Paul Cochrane gave the Boys Club a 9th minute lead with his 12th of the season, brother Paul then doubled the Boys Club lead two minutes later with his first of the season, but Nunthorpe struck back twenty minutes later when former Boys Club player Anthony Roberts pulled it back to 2-1 going into the half time break. In the second half Nunthorpe pressed from the kick off and were rewarded on the hour when Glynn Swinnerton with his 8th of the season drew the teams level at 2-2, four minutes later Roberts gave Nunthorpe a 3-2 lead, but Grangetown struck back in the 73rd minute when Ian McGowan with his 17th of the season made it 3-3, six minutes later Roberts with his hat trick goal and 14th of the season gave the visitors a 4-3 lead, but with six minutes remaining Michael Meggison with his 14th of the season made it all square at 4-4 in an end to end entertaining match in which a draw seemed to be a fair result.

Richmond Town 1 v 0 Wolviston Res

Richard Thompson should have given Richmond the lead in the first minute but he came off second best in a one on one with the Wolviston keeper. It was the home side that were well on top and they finely took the lead in the 31st minute when Adam Emson crossed from the left and the Wolviston keeper could only palm the ball into his own net. In the second half the home side dominated the game and should have turned their possession into goals and only an Emson shot that hit the post came closest to increasing their lead. Wolviston who had hardly threatened during the match nearly snatched an equaliser with only minutes remaining but Richmond keeper James Allis was alert to the danger and Richmond secured their third consecutive victory.

Thornaby YC 2 v 0 Stokesley SC

Thornaby Youth Club took a 17th minute lead against basement club Stokesley Sports Club when a long ball over the top by Mac Allen was tucked away under the Stokesley keeper by Chris Burton from close range. The visitors were looking lively and posed a number of threats on the Youth Club goal but the home side were still 1-0 ahead going into the half time break. In the second half on a now very heavy pitch the Youth Club were pressed back but in the 67th the Youth Club broke down the middle and Darren Humphries tucked the ball away from just inside the Stokesley penalty box to secure a welcome win.

North Riding Challenge Cup

Whinney B. 0 v 2 Richmond M'ricks

At half time the match remained goalless but in the second half Whinney Banks were caught on the break in the 59th minute when Andrew Blenkethorn gave Richmond Mavericks the lead, two minutes later it seemed to be all over for the Middlesbrough side when Adam Dunwoody gave the visitors a 2-0 lead.

Auckland Charity Cup

Darlington SRM 5 v 0 Roddymoor

Darlington Simpson Rolling Mills progressed to the third round of the Auckland Cup after taking a 3-0 lead with a first half hat trick from Paul Thorns, he opened the scoring in the 16th minute, added the second in the 27th minute and scored his hat trick five minutes before half time. In the second half visitors Roddymoor pressed forward and pushed the Rolling Mills back but in the 70th minute Rolling Mills broke and Colin Smith just about made the game safe before Lee Sinclair secured a third round match when he scored in the 75th minute.

Teesside Arriva 2 v 1 Whitehill

Whitehill took the lead through Gary Robson but the home side got back into the game and pressed forward but it was after the half time break when they drew level when Kevin Auton set up Dave Clark to make it 1-1. An inspired substitution by the Arriva manager brought its reward when Andrew Weatherill got on the end of a Mark Dixon cross with a brave diving header to secure a place in the next round.

Wearhead Utd 1 v 5 Darlington CB

Darlington Cleveland Bridge hadn't played a League game since a 1-1 draw with Teesside Link back in October. They travelled to Weatherill this week and after going behind reversed the score line to 2-1 at half time with two Wayne Buckley goals, in the second half they increased their lead with goals at regular intervals through Martin Smith, Darren Ray and Philip Shields to run out 5-1 winners to progress to the next round with a match at West Auckland on December 28, a week when the League decided to have a completely free week of matches.
