THERE was delight for the Peacock Inn who gained a shock win at rivals Tantobie, but their success also stopped their neighbours going top of the Second Division.
Despite second bottom taking on second top, the form book was thrown out of the window as the Peacock enjoyed an odd goal in five upset. Philip Coulson, Philip Mallard and Martin Pritchard goals did the damage with Tantobie replying through Stuart Atkinson and Kenneth Johnson.
Danny Gilbert bagged a couple and Andy Cleghorn another as Annfield Plain Demi recorded another 3-2 success, in their favour, at home to Black Horse who responded through David Cook and David Harris.
Lintz CC won 4-0 at the Highwayman while both Derek Waters and Martin Gray scored twice as Blackhall Mill beat Burnhope 6-2 in the Consett Charity Cup.
Joe Clark and Terry Shaw rattled in four goals each and Stuart Richardson two in a 10-3 Division Three win for Delves United against the Masons Arms.
David Clark's double took the Duke of Wellington to all three points against Smelters Arms while Horse & Groom and Hat & Feather shared six goals.
